In den 1990er-Jahren legte Michael Kastner das Fundament für das, was später als buchausgabe.de zu einem Pionierort für liberale Nischenliteratur werden sollte. Als er im März 2025 plötzlich starb, drohte diesem Herzensprojekt das Aus.

Doch seine Frau Gabriele Weisselberg führt sein Lebenswerk nun mit demselben Engagement weiter – mit einem neuen Online-Shop im Zeichen der Freiheit. Auch wenn der technisch notwendige Relaunch durch bürokratische Ineffizienz verzögert wurde, ist buchausgabe.de nun wieder voll einsatzbereit. Der Gesamtkatalog wird stetig erweitert, sodass das online verfügbare Sortiment in den kommenden Wochen kontinuierlich wachsen und wieder auf dem neuesten Stand gehalten wird.

Michael Kastner’s Legacy Lives On: A New Chapter for buchausgabe.de

In the 1990s, Michael Kastner laid the foundations for what would later become buchausgabe.de, a pioneering platform for liberal books and literature that was often difficult to find elsewhere. When he passed away unexpectedly in March 2025, the future of this project, so close to his heart, was uncertain.

Today, his wife, Gabriele Weisselberg, is carrying his legacy forward with the same dedication, relaunching the online bookshop in the spirit of freedom. Although the technically necessary relaunch was delayed by bureaucratic inefficiencies, buchausgabe.de is now fully operational again. Its catalogue is steadily being expanded, with more titles becoming available online in the coming weeks.
