Gottfried von Haberler Conference 2007
The 3rd Gottfried-von-Haberler-Conference took place on September 27 and 28, 2007 in Vaduz, Liechtenstein. Topic: “There Ain’t No Such Thing as a Free Lunch – Milton Friedman*, an Appreciation”. As usual the conference was organized and hosted by ECAEF – European Center of Austrian Economics Foundation, in co-operation with Hochschule Liechtenstein, and with the support of local and international sponsors.

*: Milton Friedman (July 31, 1912 – November 16, 2006) was an American economist, statistician and writer who taught at the University of Chicago for more than three decades. He received the 1976 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences for his research on consumption analysis, monetary history and theory and the complexity of stabilization policy. His name is deeply connected to the Chicago School of Economics. The Chicago school of economics is a neoclassical school of economic thought associated with the work of the faculty at the University of Chicago, some of whom have constructed and popularized its principles.
